Ardest Gallery to Celebrate Local Veteran Artists Throughout Novemberin Honor of Veterans Day with Multiple Events

The Woodlands, TX – November 2, 2023- Ardest Gallery, a local fine arts gallery, has a slate of events in November celebrating local Veteran artists in support of Veterans Day. The events kick off with a poetry reading by Marine Veteran Brandon Dillon on the evening of November 10th, followed by the Opening Reception of “SALUTE” highlighting works by over 25 local Veteran artists. Later in the month, the gallery is set to host a R.A.R.E. Art Veteran Date Night in support of local organization Working with Hope.

“We are thrilled to showcase our 2nd Annual SALUTE art show featuring Veteran artists and works that support veterans in the gallery,” said Julie Verville, Ardest Gallery Director. “This community event offers Veteran artists the opportunity to share their artistic gifts with the surrounding community, and for many, this form of self-expression serves as a form of therapy. This year, we are fortunate to expand our events offering with a poetry evening and fundraiser for Working with Hope.”

The Opening Reception of SALUTE is set to showcase works by over 30 Texas artists. The styles shown will be as diverse as the artists that created the works. Many of the artists will be present during the Opening Reception, which is slated for Saturday, November 11th from 4-8 p.m. in the gallery. There is no cost to attend this event.
Marine Veteran Brandon Dillon is set to perform poems from his book entitled “Ramblings of a Mad Man” on the evening of Friday, November 10th at 7 p.m. His works cover topics such as PTSD, depression and heartbreak, along with softer moments of hope and reflective peace. Brandon will be available for Q&A following the reading, and books will be available for purchase and signature during the event. There is no cost to attend this event.

We invite the community to celebrate Veterans throughout the month of November in the gallery by attending any of these no-cost events. A percentage of proceeds from all works sold within the gallery throughout the month of November will directly go to our local VFW 4709.
